Artistic & Script Consultancy
For filmmakers, writers and artists who want to sharpen their vision, develop a script or find a new direction for their work.
I bring 25 years of experience as an adviser to funding bodies in the arts and film sectors in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Groningen. Drawing on that experience, I offer guidance on the content of funding applications: sharpening the artistic vision, articulating creative choices and developing a clear, coherent proposal.
Artistic vision
Explore what drives your work and articulate its distinctive perspective in an artist statement, film plan or project proposal.
Script analysis & dramaturgy
Detailed feedback on structure, character, dialogue, pacing, visual storytelling and script format. Written analysis can be combined with a consultation.
Creative problem solving
When a project stalls, we examine its assumptions and explore alternatives through perspective, image, sound, rhythm and narrative form.
Project plans & funding proposals
Guidance on writing and revising the content of funding applications, from an initial outline to a developed proposal. Together, we clarify your artistic vision, creative choices, approach and relevance to your audience, and strengthen the coherence of the application.
Residencies & intensive development
Enquire about a residency of several weeks to work intensively on a script or artistic project with personal guidance. Duration, guidance, workspace, possible accommodation and fees are discussed individually.
For funding consultancy, any conflicts with my advisory or assessment roles are discussed in advance. Consultancy does not guarantee funding.
Working together
You can work with me through a single consultation, workshop, written analysis or a longer development programme tailored to your needs. Fees, preparation, duration and agreed outputs are discussed in advance.
Tell me about your question, project or organisation and your preferred timeframe. Get in touch for a tailored proposal, fees or residency information.
