Proof of Light
2025
“Why do you twist when I stand still?”
“I am not your mirror.
I am your song in the voice of light.
I show what you hide,
and hide what you show.”
In the sun’s warm gaze,
this is what the object said:
“I was shaped by hands.
You… you are a stranger at my feet.”
“Yet I go where you go,”
the shadow hummed.
“Closer than thought.
Your stillness makes me dance.
Your silence gives me speech.”
When the night fell,
the shadow vanished.
The object wept:
“Come back,
even if you lie.”
A whisper:
“Without me, you are only half-true.
Let me be your proof of light.”
