Three Trees
2026Once every two weeks I greet the three trees.
In my days of fear Through the kitchen windows I watched them dance To a song I could not hear.
They Never judged me For who I was.
Like a patient stone They offered their ears To me.
Once every two weeks I thank the three trees. I hear their whispers In tones only I can hear.
They have saved my tears With their roots underneath, Carrying them deep Beneath my feet.
Those three trees Have witnessed My silent screams, My cries and tears.
Once every two weeks I watch their leaves Waving at me, Each offering a treat To put my heart at ease.
Once every two weeks Dark clouds of memories Return to me.
Those three trees Fight with me for peace Until the wind arrives To lift the weight No roots could hold.
Far from me The clouds unfold And weep Their darkness away.
Once every two weeks.
